Penang, both the island and the mainland, is a beautiful state, a crowning jewel of the nation. A potpurri of the quaint and the modern, the old and the young, Penang is both pensive and exciting. I hope the photos here capture a fraction of that magic. They are not a pro's work; just a novice's view of the Pearl of the Orient. I hope you will enjoy them. If you have any comments, please leave one. :)

Jalan Masjid Kapitan Keling
They say that this place is a symbol of religious harmony in Malaysia, with a mosque, a Chinese temple and a church on the same road. Seems realistic to symbolise the road as such, though perhaps reality speaks otherwise. Still, this is a busy thoroughfare, linking to many streets of George Town. Besides the three religious sanctuaries, one will see rolls of jewelry shops, goldsmiths and money exchange booths along this busy road.
